Despite the restrictions in place due the Covid-19 epidemic, the 2020 Biennale will be taking place from the 7th to 22nd of November as planned. This decision is a result of a meeting with representatives of the National Museum held on the 29th of September.

A confirmation of whether the opening ceremony, originally scheduled for the 6th of November, will be held and its eventual possibilities will be given on the 23rd of October.

Over 50 contextual exhibits with significant rarities for rooms B and C are ready, as well the contents of 20 large-scale display cases for room B.

Preparations of the exhibition catalogue, the design of all three rooms and the programme of the exhibition itself (including guided tours, VIP meetings, cooperation with the media, etc.) are nearing their finishing line. One of our main partners, the Czech Post, will be represented on the Biennale by a large sales and information stand. It also issued an emission on the 23rd of September of two regular postage stamps and an emission of its own official Czech Post stamps, together creating a series of stamps with motives of rarities appearing at the Biennale. Both emissions were met with great interest from both the philatelic and non-philatelic public. We believe the presentation of the Biennale and PPCP on hundreds of thousands Czech Post to be beneficial, among other things helping with our main goal – raising awareness of philately and its themes.
