Monacophil 2024
Monaco
From December 5 to 7, 2024, the prestigious philatelic exhibition MonacoPhil 2024 took place.
MonacoPhil is an international non-competitive philatelic exhibition established under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III of Monaco. It is a collaborative initiative of the Office des Timbres of the Principality of Monaco (OETP), the Musée des Timbres et Monnaies, and the Club de Monte-Carlo, with the aim of bringing together the leading figures in global philately. The inaugural exhibition, titled “The 100 Rarest Stamps and Philatelic Documents in the World”, was held in 1997 under the leadership of Alexander D. Kroo. This groundbreaking event celebrated the 60th anniversary of the OETP’s founding and 700 years of Grimaldi rule.
Members of the Club de Monte-Carlo include three representatives from our club: Tomáš Mádl, Pavol Lazar, and Helmuth Avi, who also showcased their rare items at the event.
MonacoPhil 2024 was organized with significant cooperation from PPCP, as 12 thematic exhibits (including one belonging to His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom) were displayed at the new One Monte Carlo conference center on exhibition frames provided by our club.
This mode of presentation was exceptionally well-received by both the general public and the philatelic community. During the exhibition, the leadership of both clubs agreed to deepen and broaden their collaboration for organizing future exhibitions.
