THE LAST DAY OF THE PPCP BIENNALE

Even though a lockdown was in place, the number of visitors was limited, ticket offices closed, tickets available only online, the two exhibitions in the National Museum were strictly separated and the reservation system was unstable almost 3000 visitors came to see the exhibition, most of the exhibition catalogues were sold and we are still receiving positive and delighted reactions. It confirmed that the new trend that we are trying to set is for the philatelic and especially the non-philatelic public the right way how to make philately more attractive and inspiring – through a contextual and comprehensible presentation of rare exhibits. Our exhibition catalogues were also delivered during the exhibition to philatelic personalities abroad and we are very pleasured with their congratulations and and favourable reception. We have managed against all odds to realize an international philatelic project (the only one happening this year), introduce philately for the first time in history in the national Museum, publish the best catalogue in the history of Czech philatelic exhibitions etc. Our goal is to establish a long-going tradition of PPCP Biennales. The recently closed exhibition was its extraordinary beginning and we will soon begin with preparations for 2022.
