  • GB, Penny Black 1840, a very rare block of 4 of the 1st stamp of the world
  • GB 1840, printing plate reconstruction, 240 Penny Black
  • Historically first letter sent with a stamp from Czech lands, 1840, from Carlsbad to Great Britain, where an additional franking was made

  • USA 1847, St. Louis "Blue Bear", so-called "postmaster's provisional issue"; an iconic emission of US classic
  • GB 1840, Two Pence Blue, postally unusued 2. stamp of the world, very rare
  • Labuan 1901, so-called "Inverted Ship", overprint on an North Borneo 8C stamp with an inverted centre, only a few pieces exist, a significant rarity from the British colonies
  • GB 1840, Penny Black VR ("Victoria Regina"), 1st service stamp ever, called "Unissued", a British classics rarity
  • Naples, 1860 "Trinacria" postally unused (mint), one of the rarest stamps o European classics, only a few known pieces exist (cat. 600000 EUR!)
  • India / State of Chamba, 1887, SG 16b – 12 Annas with overprint error, only 5 copies known!
  • Essay prints on thin handmade paper, Penny Black 1 penny.

  • ZANZIBAR, 1895–96, 2½a on 1a 6p, overprint error “Zanzidar” with a small second “z” and an inverted “p” instead of “d,” original gum. Only about ten unused examples are known. This stamp was part of the Beauchamp Vialoux and Woolley collections. Scott catalogue no. 24a; Stanley Gibbons no. 22j.
  • ZANZIBAR, 1895–96, 1a6p sepia, unused with original gum, overprint error “Zanzidar” from position R4/6, Hall setting “D”. A major rarity—one of only five known unused examples (including one in the British Royal Collection). Stanley Gibbons catalogue no. 5j.
  • GRENADA, Overprint Type 20, 1891, 2½ d. on 8 d. grey-brown, used example with the “2½ d.” overprint inverted, lightly canceled in black ink. Extremely rare – listed in the Stanley Gibbons catalogue but not valued in either mint or used condition. This stamp was even missing from the famous Grenada collection of Joseph Hackmay. Stanley Gibbons catalogue no. 47b.
  • Uniform Penny Post, first official day of use (!), folded letter with “Parliament Street” cancellation, further canceled with a red single-frame “PAID” tombstone handstamp (JA 10 / 1840), over which a two-line black handstamp “Bridge Street West Penny Postage Paid” is struck, sent to Birmingham.
